Release note

The NuGridPy python tools are a collection of python modules that we have developed over the years in order to analyze and explore data outputs from the NuGrid collaboration. This includes the multi-zone output from NuGrid mppnp post-processing (nugridse.py), the output from single-zone calculations (ppn.py) as well as the output from MESA stellar evolution calculations (mesa.py). The tools can be installed via pip directly from the NuGridPy GitHub repo.

These tools can be used to explore our public data hosted on the CADC VOspace: http://data.nugridstars.org. The recommended way is to use the NuGrid WENDI server to access and analyse the NuGrid data using NuGridPy.

If you prefer you can install NuGridPy on your own computer and mount the NuGrid data on the CADC VOspace (see instructions at
http://www.nugridstars.org/copy_of_releases-and-software-downloads/nugrid-data-server, you need to get a CADC registration for this).

If you do not want to install any of these tools you can try instead one of our public virtual machines available at http://www.nugridstars.org/copy_of_releases-and-software-downloads/virtual-box-releases. They have not been updated or checked for a long time, so if this does not work let us know and we may be able to help you.
